Takut Salah, Takut Dinilai: Mengungkap Hambatan Psikologis Mahasiswa Dalam Menulis Artikel Ilmiah

Abstract

Writing scientific articles is one of the academic competencies that university students must master. However, in practice, many students experience significant psychological barriers that hinder the productivity and quality of their scientific writing. This study aims to identify, analyze, and classify various psychological barriers experienced by students in the process of writing scientific articles. Through a qualitative approach using literature review and in-depth interviews, it was found that the main psychological barriers include: (1) fear of error, (2) evaluation apprehension, (3) impostor syndrome, (4) dysfunctional perfectionism, (5) academic anxiety, and (6) fear-based procrastination. These findings indicate that psychological barriers are interconnected and form a negative cycle that can comprehensively hinder students' academic development. The implication of this research is the importance of psychological interventions in academic curricula and the creation of learning environments that support a sense of safety to experiment and make mistakes.
